Three stations on Mexico City's Line 12 stopped running overnight. When did they reopen?

Key points

  • The STC suspended three Line 12 stations on the night of October 29.
  • The affected stations were Culhuacán, Atlalilco and Mexicaltzingo.
  • Service was fully restored the morning of October 30.

Mexico City's Sistema de Transporte Colectivo (STC) Metro started service on all of its lines on Friday, October 30. Earlier, on the night of October 29, the system had suspended train service at three stations on Line 12 (Dorada).

According to the STC, the measure was taken because of an urgent inspection of the electrical power system. The affected stations were Culhuacán, Atlalilco and Mexicaltzingo. In a post on its official X account, the agency asked riders to follow instructions from staff and stay informed through its official channels.

Service returned to normal on the morning of October 30. The STC said all Line 12 stations were back in operation, with trains running in both directions between Mixcoac and Tláhuac, and the rest of the lines ran without problems.
